This watch looks really nice. However It stains fairly easily (I had a new pair of jeans and my hand inadvertetly rubbed against them throughout the course of the day resulting in a small blue stain). The watch’s atomic timekeeping feature is not working well for me but I suppose that’s because I don’t have a very good place to put it at night (the manual recommends the watch facing upward, resting on the strap, and facing outside a window). Other than these two minor things I love this watch. The watch performs great and it has a lot of interesting features. Also a white watch goes great with almost anything!
This is not my first G-Shock and it won’t be my last. Casio is definitely on to something with their practical G-Shock line. I’m not sure how environmentally friendly the solar power aspect is, but it is quite freeing not to have to worry about replacing the batteries. For lack of a better word, the Atomic feature is cool – although I can’t recall a situation in which I required the amount of accuracy it provides. The button that controls the light (the large “G” at the 6 o’clock position) is easy to use and find in the dark, an improved placement compared to previous ’shocks. The white case and band is attractive. Time will tell if it dirties or yellows easily. The only negative issue I have is with the seller. It was advertised as free shipping, but arrived postage-due.
